Over 10 years of experience this Miami Dj has come a long way. Djceelo started his career as a small party and word of mouth Disc Jockey at the young age of fourteen and loved every moment of it. Although he did not have a name, he started to get the attention of his fellow classmates by performing at school events. Not to mention the small parties that he would do for practically nothing. By the age of seventeen his friends started calling him "Ceelo" or "Dj Ceelo" short for Carlos, he new that this is what he wanted to do for a living, even after he knew that the entertainment business was one of the toughest businesses out there. He told himself that he would pull through. Two years had past, and even with his experience and talent there were no interviews.
But that did not stop him from making his dream come true. the talent was there, the will, the experience, and the heart to keep going. At the age of twenty he started with agencies that put him in the front row. Now he was meeting the right people at the right places, and times. Working hard he slowly crept into the club scene. When he got his legal drinking pass he started working for some small clubs in the "Miami Beach" and "Coconut Grove" area. From there he entered the cycle and started to become known for his radical but unique mixing from hip hop to meringue, pop and disco, R & B to Reggae and so on.
He can combine just about any genre to make it smooth sailing. "if the dance floor needs to be full at all times then Ceelo's the man for the job". It took years of hard work and a little charm to get there. The whole ride there he was confident he would make it, and he did. It became a passion for what he now calls his professional career.
